We have a family of wild turkeys in our neighborhood. Sometimes we see them every day for a week. Other times, they disappear for months. Sometimes they fly up on the roofs of various houses. Fun birds.
Back when I was stationed on Fort Ord, CA the wild turkeys would roost in the trees in the housing area. The neighborhood kids learned fast to leave them alone.

After all when they don’t get things their way, they turn into real turkeys.

This can be settled with a .410 shotgun and a #6 pellet load. One shot to the head and fresh turkey for easter dinner.

If cooked properly, wild turkey is rather good.

I’ve never tasted Wild Turkey. Strong alcohol burns my throat.

Except at Thanksgiving or Christmas. Unless you like Christmas Goose instead.
