Side effects: May cause stress, irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath. In the event of death, call your doctor immediately.

A couple months ago, I saw a commercial for a prescription drug that said “Long live life” but also said one of the side effects was “abnormal heartbeat, which can lead to death”. You can’t make this stuff up!

It said free delivery, but how much do they tip the driver?

Don’t you hate it when the side effects of medications are worse than the condition that they’re supposed to treat?

My favorite of all time is the one that says “Don’t take if you’re allergic to this or any of it’s ingredients.”

As wise man once said, there is no pill for every ill but there is an ill following every pill.

I often think a leading cause of death for the elderly, must be lacking in strength needed to open the safety packaging of food and medicine.

I’m 51 and a long way from feeble and I find it difficult at times to get things open!

A wise doctor said: Good food is medicine. Bad food needs medicine.

Why do the ads show half naked people frolicking in the sun on bikes, surfing or walking on a beach when the written disclaimer running beneath clearly states avoid sunlight when taking this medication???

Oh, and don’t forget potential liver damage. They all have disclaimers for liver damage.

I could see Brewster looking off into space right now, absently stroking his chin and saying, “There is another way…”

Explosive diarrhea, yep I’m avoiding that one

I have a note in my pharmacists’ refill inst to ALWAYS give me a regular cap.

I love that the side effects are worse than what it is to cure!!!

Don’t you just love it when the side effects are worse than the actual ailment in these medicine commercials?

SNL did a commercial long ago with a long rapid-fire list of side effects. The one I picked out was “sudden atrophy and/or shedding of reproductive tissues.”

Mine was “may cause you to grow a tail”. It didn’t. What a hoax!

I keep great stress reliever’s on hand … comes in a fifth, usually 80 to 100 proof, a splash on the rocks … stress gone … ;)

Expensive prescription? I guess Pam doesn’t have Medicare or other medical insurance!

If they make a pill for stress that causes stress? The solution seems obvious.

I wonder if this could cause a sighting of Irritable Belle. If so, Captain Hindsight saw it coming.

I once asked a pharmacist if I could get a bottle without the child safety cap, as there are no children at my abode. He said “sure thing”, but gave me the usual safety cap anyway. I modified the can opener of a Swiss Army knife to slice/pop the protective tops off.

Time for a new prescription.

Music Therapy would be safer.
