I’m with Hammie and Zoe. Don’t like black licorice either.

just curious, but what is it about black jelly beans and/or black licorice that’s so unappealing to some folks? is it the color black itself or the taste? if the taste, how so?

What’s wrong with black jelly beans? They’re chewy, they’re sweet and quite delicious! ;D

We had Black-Jack gum we used to make it look like our teeth were missing!

The black ones were my grandmother’s favorite. She’d buy a bag of just black ones for her and share a few with me.

I got an entire bag of only black jelly beans! Yaaay!

Brings back memories with my kids on Easter morning. I got all their rejects. Some intentionally planted.

Black jelly beans taste like licorice. Licorice—you like it or you hate it, there is no fence-riding. (Same for bleu cheese.)

Could be worse – could be cilantro flavored – the most disgusting metallic mint flavor of all time.

Gross. Licorice jelly beans are disgusting! My mom loves them, however.

Silly kids! I used to LOVE the black one! (Still do!). The purple ones, however, tended to tase like detergent, depending on the brand. :-D

Some brands taste better than others. My favorites are the ones in the Jelly Belly licorice bridge mix. I love every piece in their licorice bridge mix.

I buy bags of only black jelly beans. No one else likes them, so I have candy all year long at 10 beans a day.

I tried licorice when I was a kid and hated it. MAJOR UGH.

But the black 1s are the best! Funny enough I like black jelly beans, but black licorice, not so much.
