In between P1 and P2 a grand slam gets hit that we never see. Although NASA saw it from space, but what exactly did they see? The highest you can hit a baseball is probably less than 200 feet. Maybe the kid threw his batting helmet 22 miles up as he rounded the bases. There should be a panel between 1 & 2.
Looks like Dee just busted his ankle when he stepped on the corner of homeplate. Who the heck planted it so that it wasn’t flush with the ground? Oh, wait, that was me. Umm, actually it’s Dee’s fault for not stepping on the middle of the plate! And speaking of faults, it’s your fault if you have a bad day because you neglected to read today’s Mopped Up Thorp.
With the bases loaded and the score tied (and apparently in the bottom of the ninth, although we weren’t told that), was it really necessary for Darius to swing for the fences? And by the way, just who was it that they beat?

Wow. That got out in a hurry. Anything that travels that far should have a stewardess, ya think?

So Milford has “really been struggling” but the score is tied? How do you describe it when they are losing?

While the ‘Larks remain on the bench indifferent to Darius’s walk-off slam, the ants are swarming to the plate to celebrate.

From today’s Comics Curmudgeon:
No we didn’t see it because you didn’t draw it, do you not know how comics work?

P1- In a tie game, every batter has an opportunity to break the tie.
P2- Kid next to Gil is pink. Must be sunburn.
P3- Marty is immortalized after calling it a Moonshot.
