Pain looks more to be in his shoulder which can also be thrown out/strained with a good sneeze. Smacked my crazy bone in my elbow on the edge of the counter once when I sneezed.
I noticed recently that I had started sneezing more often and wondered why. [I’ve started on my third quartile.] The Boston Medical Center gives the following possible explanation:
With aging, the physiology and function of the nose changes. The nose lengthens, and the nasal tip begins to droop due to weakening of the supporting cartilage. This in turn causes a restriction of nasal airflow, particularly at the nasal valve region (where the upper and lower lateral cartilages meet). Narrowing in this area results in the complaint of nasal obstruction, often referred to as geriatric rhinitis.
Persons with geriatric rhinitis may have nasal obstruction or congestion, runny nose or post-nasal drip, itchy nose, sneezing, and/or nasal dryness or crusting. It can be caused by a reaction to various allergens: pollen, dander, mold, dust mites, etc. or by changes in temperature, humidity, and exposure to irritating chemicals, smells, or some medications.
Some people as they age become unusually sensitive to environmental, seasonal, and/or physical irritants which over-stimulate the blood vessels in the nose, causing episodes of sneezing, watery drainage, and/or congestion.

Both backs and sneezes need not be just thrown out. They can be recycled. (—

Most of my ailments can be attributed to, slept on it wrong, sat down too long, sneezed too hard. Yup! That just about covers it.

I can relate. I have very powerful sneezes and I can feel them coming-on and I feel the results from my toes on up!

Sometimes I bend my knees (standing) just before the sneeze; they seem to act as shock absorbers.

I sneeze and scream in pain from my back hurting from the sneeze. Husband says that I “sneeze wrong and that is why it hurts”.
