brilliant, Gordon

We know that while Gordon is apparently smart enough to borrow a tuxedo from his uncle, he is apparently not bright enough to ask his uncle to borrow some black socks. The most amazing part of this is that after having seen Gordon do this, Tracey is still standing beside him and not hunting for a boyfriend who is more intelligent.

Poor baby………. And Tracy is smart. Gordon is true, loving and kind. And he has potential!

Odd—I thought Rhetta was a brunette.

So, I wonder who the blonde girl in the front seat is? I thought Michael’s date was Rhetta who was a brunette when mother was taking their picture?

Kiwi socks?

Ew. Make Tracey go and see that Gordon washes that off, while Mike tears back home and gets him a pair of black socks.

Socks, stockings? I have Fashion Deficit Syndrome.

Very inventive mind

Once again Gordon proves his resourcefulness.

Gordon looks particularly good. Like he lost 20 pounds and gained a girl friend. Clever guy.

I guess he couldn’t afford to buy a pair of black socks?

Why is Rhetta’s hair blonde?

In our area they would be proud to drive their trucks and see who had the loudest exhausts.

That would never have worked for me being my feet look like something Lon Chaney Jr. wore in the Wolfman

We’re all assuming that he put the polish on his legs. My first thought was that he used the polish to turn a pair of white athletic socks into black ones. That would have been a whole lot less messy.

A solution that will leave a sign, on everything he will touch.

Gordo is the most conservative, practical boy of Mike’s group of friends. We call that ’Down Home" in the South.

That is beyond sad

I love Gord ♥ he’s one of those people who just ‘figures it out’ No whining about his lot in life; always making do with the best of what’s available.

Soon he will get sweaty and track goop across the dance floor

And all he needs to get the shoe polish off is Bulldog Cement Remover No.3

I remember a story, I thing it was an LM Montgomery short, about a woman who needed new shoes and hat so she coloured her old ones to make them look newer but the heat of the day made to dye run all down her hair, face, neck and clothes. It’s been a tic so the details are fuzzy.

I had a good friend named Gordon in high school. He forgot his black dress shoes for the band competition in Atlanta and there wasn’t any running out to the store for a pair of size 17 1/2 dress shoes. He ended up stretching socks OVER his tennis shoes.
