A hero emerges! Without his helmet! Save him Pucky!

Only one arm, but lot of guts. A real hero

Elvis, pinned down with a dust bunny. He needs a hero to save him. Enter Captain Catacular, aka Puck! Activate Mighty Paws of Justice! BAT! BAT! BAT!

The dust bunny is trying to help Elvis, but I think the bunny has more to fear from the vacuum than even Elvis does!

First, the human kibble chopper and now this vacuum. Puck is truly a superhero of bops and bats!

In panel 3, even in Lupin’s largely blank white face, I love how Georgia manages to instill an expression of concern for his brave friend.

Oh Puck, you are my sweet hero.

Elvis looks fully terrified, poor baby!

I’ve been waiting all week for this. Love the bond between all the boys.

Slightly OT: Panel 2 reminds me to recommend The Silent Miaou, represented to be a translation from the feline by Paul Gallico. Easily available in used paperback.

Pucky the Brave

Pucky is plucky.

And thus the brave Sir Pucky slayed the metal monster and saved mommy’s Little Bellerina Princess.

Puck on the attack!

There was a Fred Basset strip which showed that Fred is afraid of vacuum cleaners. Someone commented, “Are you afraid of Mr Hoover, Fred?” I replied that there was a Mr Hoover in the 1920s who was someone to be afraid of as his administration caused the Wall Street Crash.

Even the Evil Vacuum appears astonished at Pucky’s brave attack.

Meanwhile, under the red couch, Elvis has gone full on Silent Scream.

The House Panther could sense the silent terror of his clan member, so he sprang from his cave, and raced toward the danger! Ahead of him, he saw the bloated and screaming monster, advancing on his cowering clan member! With an angry roar, he throws himself in front of his friend and lands several quick blows to the startled monster’s face! Confused, the monster backs off and falls silent, then retreats to it’s own cave. The House Panther feels victorious, but he knows the monster will be back!

Pucky comes to Elvis’ protection again. First the leaves, now the vacuum. What a good boy.

Silently screaming, Elvis fears for the worst

OT:

Puck is a hero, more than just in his imagination! The vacuum cleaner is a tougher opponent than any robo-snake, but Puck shows no fear.

A weird thing happened this morning. I usually click “random” After reading the day’s BCN. Today I hit random and I was taken to 08/04/17…for the exact same strip that Georgia is repeating today! What are the odds! >^^<

It reminds me of Pucky standing up to the Vacuum dragon in their D&D game. Do you happen to remember when that arc was?

Mister Vacuum never hangs around

Ora Z: Some of these wood scraps make pretty sounds. I bet I could play a tune on them.

Mandy: You probably could. We could help you fine tune them.

Whisk: I’ll go and sweep up some more scraps.

Ora Z: How do we make them into an instrument?

Lynn: It takes some care and patience.

*Ora Z: *What’s patience?

Lynn: I think it’s something that you have to learn. Let’s start small. Maybe some of the woodworkers can help out. Are Iggy and Wally available?

Iggy: Sure, we’ll be glad to help. If you need any metal work I’m sure Iron Glove will help as well.

Whisk: Here’s a whole pile of wood I swept up..

I don’t know if Ms. Dunn reads these comments, but I want her to know how much I’m enjoying these older strips. For this somewhat recent fan they are a real treat.

I thought at some point Georgia had posted some dust bunny’s she had drawn in the past, and I was right she did, shortly after this strip first appeared. Puck is the greatest cat in the universe. Except, maybe, for Beatrix.

Ah, silent screaming. I saw this in the newspaper when they had it. They sadly replaced it with Wallace the brave years ago. (Although that’s my second favorite comic.)

We had a little lady black cat several years ago. Her name was Precious and oh my Cat! She would swat that snake (vacuum hose) and just fight that nasty thing for all she was worth. Needless to say – we got quite a giggle out of her. She was the QUEEN of our home for sure!
