Regulations? Repugs don’t need no stinking regulations…they can crash the economy…have temper tantrums…play at being big boy politicians. Just don’t ask them to do anything constructive “for the people” or for the already born children…
So far it looks like rules changes made in 2018 – 19 help to cause these banks to fail. Having so many interests only loan and then having those depositors pull their money out suddenly would cause any bank to have liquidity issues.
Based on everything I have read and heard from reputable folks, it is lack of regulation and banks now following basic fundamentals in a quest for more profits going to the top.
The real answer is terrible management and management (and boards) that feather their own nest at the expense of the customers. That’s why tough regulations (and enforcement) are needed.
Is that Congressman Annie Kuster. She’s big on deregulation and freeing up the dollars. And she’s the keynote speaker at Keene State College commencement today sharing words of wisdom to the young.

The Repubs WILL crash the economy if they keep holding the debt ceiling hostage for Medicare, Social Security, and Veteran Benefits cuts.

If you have a gun you can rob a bank. If you have a bank you can rob America.
