If aliens ever did show up, the biggest problem would be communication. There’s little hope that we would ever be able to convey anything to each other since there would be no common basis and we’d probably end up being annihilated.

I don’t doubt that there’s intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. What I question is why it would want anything to do with the human species.
