You had you chance Barr and you corrupted it. The evidence was there right under your nose and in your ear.

Barr’s ego won’t allow him to confess to his own governmental crimes and bending over backwards for Benedict Arnold Trump’s demands to use the DOJ as a weapon against his political enemies.

Barr’s biggest sin is his promotion of the “unitary executive;” AKA the imperial presidency. Wanting to ascribe to the President powers that the Constitution does not give the office.

Nothing at all to do with Barr writing a book and trying to clean up a very tarnished reputation for the history books.

For the second time Barr is trying to save his reputation, such as it is, for posterity.

“Barr was known as a strong defender of presidential power. He wrote an advisory opinion justifying the U.S. invasion of Panama and arrest of Manuel Noriega. He wrote legal justifications for the practice of rendition, so that the FBI could enter onto foreign soil without the consent of the host government to apprehend fugitives wanted by the United States government for terrorism or drug-trafficking. Barr declined a congressional request for the full 1989 opinion, but instead provided a document that “summarizes the principal conclusions”. Congress subpoenaed the opinion, and its public release after Barr’s departure from the Justice Department showed he had omitted significant findings in the opinion from his summary document. [So he had practice before ’summarizing The Mueller Report…]

On December 24, 1992, during his final month in office, Bush, on the advice of Barr, pardoned Weinberger, along with five other administration officials who had been found guilty on charges relating to the Iran–Contra affair. Barr was consulted extensively regarding the pardons, and especially advocated for pardoning Weinberger." – Wikipedia [includes ‘References’]

You’re a little late in saving your legacy, Bill. You will always be known as Trump’s “Fixer” after his other Fixer went to jail.

All that Barr’s stories now show is that he has no loyalty, and is a turn-coat to save his own self. The damage to this Great Nation that he enabled tRump to do, the cover-up, the censoring of Mueller’s report from the American people are not forgiven, nor should be. There should be prosecution against Barr. Barr violated the trust of his office and his oath. Mueller was supposed to have been one of Barr’s best friends. I hope that friendship is ended never to be healed. Barr should die a lonely, rejected and broken man.

Kevin McCarthy lets it slip he thinks Trump is going to jail

Speaking briefly to reporters on Tuesday to complain about Hunter Biden not being sent to prison for two misdemeanor tax charges, Speaker Kevin McCarthy let it slip he believes former President Donald Trump will be sent to jail. Trump was arraigned last week on charges relating to his keeping classified government documents.

Columbia updated. There was a lot to be said for the classic personification. But, then, we like to think we are in different times. It has never been otherwise in many ways.

Barr reflects the reactionary values of far too many Roman Catholics, who no longer pay attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
