    Oops, I was wrong about yesterday.

    And how many planets are there at the moment? And who decides? I think it may be eight, although Pluto has a lot of supporters who won’t concede the election. And there may be a couple other candidates in the running, one of who has promised to make the solar system great again.

    NASA had no clue as to how many planets, there are in the fist place. Halting future exploration is just budget cuts. they are still looking for the mysterious 9th planet? This hypothetical Neptune-sized planet orbits our Sun in a highly elongated orbit far beyond Pluto.

    We already know there are far more than 8. NASA keeps finding planets in other solar systems using these more powerful telescopes to analyze changes in the other stars’ brightnesses.
