So back in B.C. when the fellows here lived in rock caves, could being held under house arrest be of any worry or punishment to the cavemen? Did they even know what a house was?
Only had 3 family vacations. Never went to Disneyland ( is that considered child abuse?) Made double mortgage payments. Paid for all of the kids college tuition. And I don’t regret living the “high life” at all.
Husband refinanced so many times that after almost 30 years of paying, we owed more than we paid originally. I didn’t realize he was only making minimum payments.
I remember thinking that I would be doing well if I earned 20k a year back in the day. Now, if kids aren’t making 80k a year they think they are in poverty. Of course, I’m not disagreeing with them, but still, 100k a year seems like movie star money to me.
Homeowners insurance is worse than taxes and interest rates. They want $4000 a year for a $400 k home. State Farm dropped us because we only have a roof that will last 7 years.

I’m glad I never had one, then. The mortgage, anyway.

I thought first wicked witch in OZ was under house arrest. (I forget whether she was of the west, or east. I’m bad with directions.)

Taking a doctor with an addiction problem down to the station? You know, a “House Arrest?”
