I have an old style cell phone where you have to press the numbers up to 3 times per letter…my daughter can send a half-dozen messages from her smart phone before I can get off a response to her first message.
My phone is for my convenience, not yours. I use it to make phone calls, play games, listen to music, etc. If I am busy, whether in the jon or driving or working, I’ll answer when and if I can, or return your text/call when I can. Since I work 2nd shift, it may be at midnight, or an hour before I return to work.

On day 3 without a reply, I mail a follow up letter explaining why I blocked their number.

Spending your life on the phone is not living.

I still reply by snail mail.
That’s a lie. I still don’t reply at all.
