If Pam didn’t know anything about comics, how did she wind up marrying Jff? Did she go Rogue?
Jff might get stung by the Wasp … cross the line with the Scarlet Witch … face the Storm when he gets home, … or discover the Black Widow. One thing for sure, he is real dense to recognize Pam is really a Wonder Woman.
“Can you bring big, steaming mugs of hot cocoa, too?”“In the summer?”“YES IN THE SUMMER! IT ISN”T PERFECT IF I CAN’T LIE ON THE FLOOR AND HAVE HOT COCOA WITH MY CHOCLIT CHIP COOKIES AN’ COMIC BOOKS!"
Did Pmm also bring a bottle of milk for her growing fanboys and their favorite pillows and blankies so that she can tuck them in and read to them from The Silver Age Flash Archives Vol. 5 (“And then Vandal Savage makes the Jay Garrick and Barry Allen Flashes fight so that he can imprison them like he did the members of the Justice Society!”)? How old are these people supposed to be?
Is this going to be a whole week of Jff discussing what a loser his wife is for not glorifying comics? And based on the double smug smirk in P3 she approves?
This reminds me of my wife. She started coming with me to GenCon and now she organizes a bake/food swap for people coming in from all over the country. Last night the local game store hosted the event for the first time and the place was flooded with foodie gamers buying games. The manager was extremely pleased. Definitely wants her event back next year.
Tom is definitely fulfilling a service for all of us who love the comic books of old. We can (mentally) go back to those carefree (?) days of yesteryear and be that kid that we once were and enjoy that time (and the comics) all over again. Or trade them all in for money. Maybe both!
So this guy came out of the womb knowing about comics? I’m a comic book geek, and I wouldn’t dream of embarrassing someone for not being familiar. Why be mad at someone who’s trying to learn?
Bringing cookies on a trip to a comic book shop is rather odd. If she KNEW the people, I could see it. But does she just bring baked goods every where she shops? “Got my muffins for the grocery store workers. Pumpkin bread for those at Macy’s. Some pistachios for the gas station worker…”
If Jeffy wanted to introduce Pammy to the wonderful world of comic books, why didn’t he invite her to Comic-Con? I guess he’d rather geek out with imaginary CLB Jeff than his loving wife.
Mopey Pete is a comic book legend, even if they’re sold-out, I doubt he’d have any trouble rustling up another convention pass for his future MIL.
Whoa! Four days into a story arc at The Komix Korner, and no one has mentioned a single comic book title? Secondary character Pam Murdoch is getting featured? Pam, whose primary function for decades has been in the setup role?
Examples: “What are you doing, Dad? ”, “Why don’t you have an online presence, Lillian?”.
What’s going on here? Is Pammy going to get a job at The Komix Korner as “The Cookie Lady”?
Odd how DSH John has money to throw around on statues and such when we never see a customer in his shop. He has been shown giving away merchandise to friends. In the cartoonist’s other title, DSH John was frequently shown having trouble paying his rent. Now that Montoni’s has gone out of business, is DSH John squatting rent-free?

In the Funkyverse, the most disparaging insult that can be hurled at anyone is “She doesn’t know anything about comics.”

Pam may not know (much) about comics, but she knows the way to men’s hearts. (Stereotype, but it works here.)

Why would she do that? Found them at the bottom of the freezer and the garbage can was full?
