At our school the class treasurer handled the money from events.

Well then what good is it? Throw that trash in the garbage and use a good ol’ fashioned bag with dollar sign on it for all your cash carrying needs.

That teacher was rather insulting, in my opinion. If you can count to 100, you should be able to handle cash!

Why is it supposed that children are not honest enough to handle money?

So, order snacks or make posters… I kinda want to see what kind of poster Heart can do.

Heart has an inside track on ordering snacks. As long as you like Chippy Chips.

I’ve never had a school dance that sold tickets. For extra money we would do fundraisers BEFORE the dance to afford the decorations, DJ, etc. Then at the dance itself you could buy photos, snacks like cookies and brownies, and soft drinks. That way, any kid, regardless of income could attend as long as they were a student from the school. Selling tickets to the dance seems unfair as there may be some kids who can’t afford that and it’s embarrassing to be asked “are you going to the dance?” and having to make excuses why you can’t because you can’t afford a ticket.
