We had a national mission to slow down the spread of a virus, and half the country refused because of propaganda telling them it was a plot.
I listen to some Old-Time Radio that was broadcast during WWII. Rubber was needed for the war effort. I recently learned that if you had more than 5 tires, you were REQUIRED to sell the surplus to the Government, If you didn’t, they would let you buy gasoline. And everyone was require to drive slower than 40mph to preserve their tires. Can you IMAGINE if we had “patriots” back then like we have now? They would have refused to help the war effort because THEY were required to sacrifice.
I can remember Kennedy’s inauguration speech utilizing that same concept—a common goal, the only difference being the destination was the moon “and other great things”.
We can certainly dream of going on a space mission to other planets but that is only a dream. Humans can “survive” short periods away from the surface of the earth, but that is all. Example the deterioration of astronauts overall health after a return from an ISS mission. If you believe we Tellurians can live on the moon, mars or anyplace other than earth you are living in a sci-fi movie. Instead of the destroy and leave pipe dream, let’s start thinking ahead to keep the earth habitable for humankind, if not already too late

Congress always wants the biggest for themselves; a ship to the sun seems more appropriate.

I’ve heard their “investigations” described as un-focused foolishness.

Make room for Clarence and the other bribe-taking SCOTUS judges.
