It is nearly impossible to change the channel on some newer TVs. Just order a new remote, be there tomorrow, unless you are in a large city, and be there this afternoon.
Back in the 60’s neighbors had a Zenith with space command. Their 5 year old daughter had a toy telephone with a bell in it and every time she turned the dial the bell rings, and the TV changed channels.
Buckles is adorable, but he’s not a blood hound. I started to teach my last beagle to find my keys, but they were usually out of her reach, and she wasn’t very interested. I went back to hiding toys in drawers when she was in another room and then calling her into the room and she would point right to the correct spot. Every single time.

Paul, don’t such be a baby. Instead of just lying there, actually help look for the remote.

There are TV’s on the market that don’ have button controls so you need the remote to operate them.
