Did anybody else’s schools have something called a Sadie Hawkins dance? In our school that was where the girls asked out the boys. it was based on a character from Al Capp’s comic strip ’Li’l Abner’.

When I was in Junior High, I would have been SO HAPPY if some girl did the asking.
