Time waits for no man, but Calvin waits for time.

Maybe the real problem is that Calvin moves too fast?

and if you don’t pay attention and do your work, you’ll be in a no passing zone.

I remember some days in the classroom like that.

The last ten minutes of one particular class, for me the teacher.

Wait until you’re old and you have a job, Calvin.

Timey wimey is wibbly wobbly………….

I remember those days both at school and work. Especially 9th grade when I was in algebra class and it felt like a prison. Partly because I hated algebra and partly because the next hour was a class the boy I was crushing on had his seat next to mine and I couldn’t wait to see him.

If only you had something to occupy your time, like learning.

Calvin really needs a private school for gifted kids. But only the filthy rich can afford to send their spoiled rug rats to those!

My cousin was a bipolar child. And with his ADHD, he couldn’t sit still because his mind was always in high gear. I always felt sorry for him and admired him at the same time. Sort of like Calvin.

But time waiting builds character, Calvin…

Reminds me of third grade. I was always so bored that I got in lots of trouble and didn’t care because it broke up the day.

it felt that way when I was going to school… :L

Well Calvin, if you paid attention to what was going on, sought an education and profited from it, time would seem very short indeed.

So any given classroom, then.

It is a no passing zone for Calvin as well

I had a high school teacher who put a sign above the clock: “Time will pass. Will you?”

When he stops he sleeps!

In one of my high school classes, under the clock, the teacher had put up “time will pass, will you?”

Detention be like that.

If you want time to go slowly, look at your watch and count the seconds out loud for 5 minutes. It takes forever…

Time stands still when you’re not having fun. Kind of like seeing “Barbie”.

Yeah. School was like that for me when they told us to read our assignments in class. To quiet and to boring. …until I discovered girls.

I had a few teachers who engaged the class very well; it works great if the teacher is good at teaching the subject. Advanced math classes practically demand that approach, giving students the interesting stuff that makes us remember how to do things. I thought American Government in 12th grade would be boring – the class was mandatory – but the teacher made it one of my favorite classes in all my years in school. Class discussions were a daily part of it.

Going to be a rough school year for Calvin this year…. not to mention for the Teacher, too.

CALVIN: I gotta stay in school ‘til i"m 18! MISS WORMWOOD: Don’t come crying to me. I have to stay in school until I’m 65!

just wait till you grow up and get a crummy job- tick tock tick tock

For a six year old who leads GROSS club on a tree house, not to mention the adventures of spiffman and nerd detective, the mundane table and chairs of the class will have no charm. He is best when he is on the move.

Yep, that’s the way it is at school or at work. It’s only after you retire that the years seem to just fly by.

“At” ???

But sleep will still overtake you, Calvin.

He must be sitting inside the TARDIS.

That happens in many rooms. Too many rooms.

Yup watch the clock until 2:30 P.M. Graduate get a job watch it until 3:30 P.M.

Yeah, that’ll happen.

And there’s nothing you can do to speed it up, Calvin.

Calvin is in the ‘passing out’ zone.

Currently, at a Zoom meeting … the same vibe!

I know what that’s like. Funny enough, school starts in my area today!

I once had a calculus professor who could stop time.
