Sounds like Calvin needs a regimen of Thorazine…or Hobbes needs a regimen of downers. Take your pick.

In my best David Attenborough voice: Here we have the common house tiger stalking his natural prey. Observe as the tiger pounces without warning.

Hobbes never lacks for enthusiasm in the hunt. Cal not so much.

It’s basically the reason humanity kills off anything threatening.

Calvin was fine where he was – no tiger. Why did he move?

He deserves to get pounced on for all the misery he causes others.

Some lessons are learned the hard way, even if we don’t want to.

Calvin needs some Personal Protection™. May I suggest a Short Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle? SMLEs have proven excellent tiger repellents in India and points nearby for over a century. They also handle lions, wolves, hyenas, and even bears quite well.

Never get upwind of a tiger. Even a housetiger.

I remember when I was a little child I used to sit down in the cool relaxing afternoon with my two brothers in my parent’s bedroom and watch animals’ lifestyle in nature programs!

Once in a while, I catch one of my cats giving me that “stalking” look. All in good fun, I’m sure. However, it does make you think.

Ah, the life of a gazelle!

What it the nature program was about the pupation cycle of the South American jungle gnat, like in that old “Rugrats” episode? (All we saw of it on the TV was three fluttering gnats.)

LOL… Remember, Hobbes IS at heart, a predator.
