No Ripple in the water but there’s most assuredly a free pint or three to be had at the Rose and Crown or Jolly Riviters, mate. Besides, it’s Shark Week and stay out of the water, the canal not withstanding. Dilly! Dilly!

True, that’s not really a ripple.

It’s the rip current you don’t expect that get’s you.

As we all know, you just can tell Andy anything, except maybe it’s opening time.

A wave like that is due to the surf action. When the tide comes in the water just goes further inland.

Sometimes it goes up further than expected, & people’s beach blankets, etc. get wet. Once I saw a guy chasing after a styrofoam cooler being carried away. Apparently had his beer in it.
