I think Rat represents the id (impulsive, driven by pleasure). Goat is possibly the superego (judgmental, morally correct). I guess that leaves Pig to be the ego (mediates between the id and superego, and makes decisions).
This must mean that Rat won’t be among us much longer. We will see strips about his decline in mobility, death, and Rat’s funeral service right on the funnies page. . . .
