    How about Souza Marches?

    Or Tuvan throat singing?

But actually, I will listen to Eivør Pálsdóttir:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsl-KHGe4Kk

That’s the original version by her that I first heard. I just discovered another version with full orchestra,

Oh dear… The proper modern translation (of Dante’s Divine Comedy) is “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” The first translation was “All hope abandon ye who enter here.”

I hate the ones where you get a section of music, then it stops and someone then tells you how your call is important to them. So each time you have the very short lived hope that they’ve actually answered. BTW use WEQ4U. Brilliant app, so if you’re in a call queue, you can get them to hold for you and ring you back when someone is free. I use it a lot.

It can be done right. I was very entertained on one support call to Gateway many years ago, where they had a “Surfer Girl” DJ spinning Surfer Music. ☺

I’m a semi-pro kazoo player. I have been since the late ‘60s. Yes, I have been paid to play the kazoo. Professional horn players have complimented me. Like most things: It ain’t what you do; it’s the way howdja do it.

I understand that some people think the kazoo sounds awful regardless of the player the same way some people don’t like bagpipes. I’m not big on the flute. Virtually no one can play it in tune.

So did we ever learn the color of Andromeda’s eyes? For that matter, did Jay get it right (maybe on his second guess)? I believe they are always drawn as black anyway.

The choices give me new appreciation for elevator Muzak. At least it is neutral enough to fade into the background.

For years Centerlink in Australia had the same hold music, a single piece of classical music which lasted half an hour or so and would repeat, it was also not the greatest recording. It was fine to listen to once but given hold times it became torture especially the next time you called and the same track started again.
