If it can happen to people, it can happen to dogs. It’s better to have them overly fuss than ignore you. Besides, you are their beloved Fred, and they love you very much.

Dogs indeed DO get heatstroke and here is an article about how to tell if your dog has heat stroke and what to do to help them. https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/heat-stroke-in-dogs#:~:text=How%20do%20I%20know%20if,disoriented%2C%20and%20can%20have%20seizures.

Considering this summer is breaking all heat records, all animals are at risk. Make sure your pets have fresh water outside, keep bird baths filled, and provide shelter from the sun.

I don’t mind the reruns, but… how long are we expecting them for? In perpetuity?

Honey will lie in the sun on a deck that’s 120F. My youngest sister was the same way.

You look adorable despite your hind end being strangely drawn. Looks too squared off

In the winter, our late Corgi would lay in a sunbeam and move with it. In the summer, she shaded herself under the covered patio.

Bad news Fred – as many others have said, it is a real risk for dogs that don’t have access to shade and fresh water … and it’s even more common during extreme heat events (which we and many others are enduring now).

And some can sunburn, especially on the snout. Eyes need protection too.
