We had to put our Lab-Goldie mix in the Vet’s kennel for a trip we took. He, being a total lover, not a fighter, loved everybody & everything about it. When we went to get him, our Vet brought him out, to tell us he was in fine physical form & Jean-Luc tried to follow him back into the kennels!!! Shoulda seen the look on the Vet’s face!
Fred, I have one suggestion, that you should take very much to heart: turn on the charm for the kennel technicians.
Trust me, to work at any reputable kennel, you MUST love dogs; ergo, the techs are very susceptible. Turn on that charm and they’ll be putty in your paws – work it right and you can score all the treats you can eat. Ours pulled that the very first time we had to board them and they ate like Queens! We came home to find that our golden retriever expected a treat every time she came when called, every time she sat in front of us, or fetched a ball. The kennel owner proudly told us that she had taught Jenny a new trick, LOL! Someone got trained, all right.
When my sister’s oldest was a baby, they came over and put Mary on my parents’ bed for a nap. A little while later we heard the dog give a small yip. He was a beagle, and was standing on his hind legs looking at her. The funny part was that this wasn’t the first time he had seen her, but all the other times my sister had been holding her. I don’t think he knew that she could be detached.

Fred, love, are you worried by your temporary neighbors? Are they by any chance Will, Tucker, Kenny and Iggy?

Aww Fred, I would never put you or my dog in a kennel. I wouldn’t enjoy my trip for worrying about you or my dog.

I’ve never seen Fred in such a grumpy mood. Young Fred seems rather different from the older Fred we’ve grown to love.

Fred’s Mum and Dad used to look after some of Fred’s friends, maybe the Tucker Twins would have had him to stay
