Looks like a new scapegoat for the team.

Okay, first, it’s late August. Either school has started or is about to start, and they haven’t assigned routes yet?

Second, there are only four drivers and Lena in the whole garage. Everyone we saw yesterday is always on the team, and Lena is always there in spite of her lack of ability. Why are they bothering with a sign-up sheet?

Lastly, does Lena have the sea sponge-level of self-awareness to understand that she is a lousy bowler? Has anyone ever tried to help her improve? Is the fact that she blackmails a misanthropic driver who enjoys making kids miss their bus supposed to make us sympathetic towards her? It would be nice if there was a positive character somewhere in this strip.

Ooohhhhh … being captain will probably come with so many headaches that the Tucker twins won’t seem so bad.

All past strips involving Lena and bowling have had everyone else directly tell her, usually in a highly insulting manner, that she’s a terrible bowler. Why does she want to be a part of the team?

Why does Ed care about having the Terrifying Tucker Twins’ route? It was just established at the end of the last school year that every single kid in the school gets driven to school by their parents except for one kid. I’d say, “Go ahead!”
