I know how the drivers behind Ed feel. On my route to work I pass by an “Intermediate” school, there are times when there is a string of buses exiting the school, and, I get to sit and wait.
So… what’s the point of breaking this single picture up into three panels? Batty has demonstrated he’s just fine with using one panel (including one panel turned sideways) or two. Here he draws a strip with a single image and it’s split into three.
Okay, so there are no kids getting on or off the bus; the light’s aren’t blinking; there’s no traffic signal or stop sign; no indication of any mechanical problem; and no one seems to be moving. Conclusion: Ed enjoys being an insufferable jerk to all other motorists by stopping on what appears to be a one-lane road. This is the strip’s protagonist, gentle readers.

I’m surprised the school bus doesn’t have advertisements on it for Komix Korner and Lisa’s Story.
