Enjoying this story arc and seeing the family together. Their new food business reminds me of a smaller scale version of Eatzi’s in Dallas. Love that place.

Back in the day, my culinary arts advisor had suggested a breakfast and lunch only place would be best for work/life balance with a family when I considered that career. Ended up in graphic design and catering family events on the side instead. Fun to see others live out that path, though.

I was a silent partner once, until a loan wasn’t being paid. When you’re given a bounced check for the first payment you know the loan just became yours. No, I didn’t learn, I still kept trying to help people.

So, this arc answers several questions from previous Gene-&-Mary Lou arcs; specifically how the young Days are earning income now that the Bistro has closed and what are their plans for the future. Despite the Bistro’s failure, Mary Lou is a driven and very industrious woman. Gus raised her well (except for one notable exception).

Janis suddenly got silent…….

Looks like a major change is in the works. Probably buy the condo and be partners in this new venture. This will be heaven for all those who wanted to see more of “the kids”.

only with me at 51%, you at 39%, and treasury stock at 10%…

A partner who provides 90% of the up-front financial requirements.

And a move……

I see Arlo and Janis moving there eventually.

She’d better prepare herself because there’s a lot more to running a business and being self employed than she thinks.

I SO hope this happens. Arlo and Janis need to get off the couch and talk to someone besides each other and the cat. This strip desperately needs to be opened up.

Oops. Time to go home. Gotta get packing.

Do A and J even have extra money to invest? They seem to have a comfortable retirement, but probably only enough for their lifestyle.

Could this be leading up to a move and a collaboration?

And now the other shoe drops! Why isn’t Pops in on this in the first place before pulsing the in laws?

Hmm… he would probably enjoy living near an ocean.

There is a business similar to that nearby. They do all their cooking on Tuesdays. The place is full of large glass-front refrigerators and freezers. People come in, buy pre-made meals to take home and warm up.
