When discussing technical topics with persons having no firm basis for their beliefs, you should always include a grammatical or spelling error in your postings, to allow them an escape path from the discussion. Redirecting from the topic to grammatical errors gives them there victory over you’re position, which is the point of there participation.
I spent fourth grade with a ruler wielding tyrant as a teacher. I cringe at improper grammar and spelling 58 years later. For some reason, my knuckles start hurting, too.
So this is one of those cartoons where the characters can see each other’s speech balloons?
I’m fussy about correct grammar and punctuation, but I try to refrain from correcting other people too much — it can be taken badly. But yesterday at a street fair, I did point out to my wife (who is about as fussy as I am in these matters) that a food vendor was selling “Taco’s.” I said I wouldn’t do business with a place that didn’t use proper punctuation.

What does grammar have to do with it? These are spelling errors.
