JACKPOT INDEED!Mind you, my eyes aren’t good enough, even with zoom, to make out much of her treasure, but I do see a BOX! And what looks like a bear-shaped honey bottle. And who doesn’t love a bear filled with honey?
That looks like a broken joist, not a rafter. (Perhaps Queen Mag is a bit vague about building terminology.) And if it is a joist, that whole truss is unsafe. The roof will collapse and all under it are doomed.
555… I thought it might be hinting at the fictional phone number prefix, or information, but Google also tells of an “angel number.” It’s said to signify that changes and adventure are coming, and that (ahem!) you will have the tools you need to achieve your goals.

I sure hope it’s ok for me to say this…
Tigrisan told me yesterday that she had a bad accident with a truck, in the aftermath of a bad storm here. I don’t know any details, I’m just hoping she isn’t hurt too terribly bad! (Like Baba said, it isn’t good!) At least she still has her sense of humor.
Like you could keep a female from something shiny. Let’s be serious now. That’s like thinking a guy will sit down with you and have a conversation with you about feelings during the Super Bowl.
Dr. Scuttles, 8 25 2023: While I remain NOT A FAN of CN News, their intern Beatrix reached out with a Bluesky invite this evening and I am heartily grateful. There is a kitten who respects her elders and TRUE NEWS SOURCES, like my previously discontinued cryptid podcast.
I have a feeling that there is something in the treasure trove that will, in the end, end up being the downfall of Wicket – that treasure trove is important…
Why do we write? Why do we put our words down for others to read? Why do artists start with little doodles and eventually develop a world where people invest their time and emotions? For the talented few like Georgia, they can make a living from their art, writing, or performing. The rest of us are doing this because…why? This question came to me at 5:00 in the morning when my arthritis woke me up and wouldn’t let me go back to sleep.
I got up and went downstairs to sit in front of the computer to ponder why I write, surrounded by four out of five cats. Trying to explain to the furry overlords that it wasn’t breakfast time yet was futile. Therefore, like a good servant, I made them breakfast…two hours early, mind you, and returned to my musings. The answer came when I looked at Holmes and Hamilton as they vied for my attention with head-buts and purrs and made me smile. I do this because I hope it makes people happy, like my cats do for me.
We have been through triumphs and tragedies together on this virtual village green. And if I can write something that makes you smile, it’s worth it. It is worth the cost and time to publish books if they bring joy to you or make you forget about your troubles for a few minutes.
Go Comics has a habit of returning to posts you’ve done years ago. One post I wrote in 2019 was complimented in the sweetest way. The person said she liked the way I write, and I made her smile. I write for her and all of you, to make you happy. Furthermore, that is the same reason I believe Georgia draws and dancers dance, it is an opportunity to make people happy.
I’ve been looking back at older strips, does anyone know what happened to Brein43, who used to be a regular commenter here? Looks like her last comment was four years ago.
Georgia Dunn 8/25: I’m slowly moving my accounts over to Bluesky. I will continue to post the BCN broadcasts to @breakingcatnews for the readers on Twitter for the time being, as Bluesky is still slow on letting folks in.
