A merry young man from Yuma; told an elephant joke to a puma; Now his skeleton lies; under hot western skies; The puma had no sense of huma! (a bit like Sally’s teacher) :D
The highest grade in my elementary school was “S” for Satisfactory. The school-wide running joke was that if someone said they got “Straight S’s”, the reply was “You can’t get straight S’s, because S’s aren’t straight!”.
all my life I got bent A’s. usually bent into a right-facing open-side half circle. if I did get a bent one, it was usually one straight leg with the other leg a bit short sticking straight out on top and the crossbar sticking straight out below it. maybe they didn’t notice because I would help out the teacher and enclose the open side of the straight one thus making a much nicer letter.

As an average kid, I had to settle for getting STRAIGHT C’s!
And I’ll tell you. Getting straight C’s isn’t the easiest thing in the world!

How about a couple of As that are bent so they look like Fs.

Her teacher is probably Mrs. Donovan, the one who sent Charlie Brown to the principal when he yelled at her after losing the spelling bee.
