Her dad should look into the possibility of hiring a private tutor to get Patty caught up to grade level, but keep her in the same school with her friends.
This strip is from 1971. Using measuringworthDOTcom and the consumer price index, $4000 then would be $28,900 today. Well, last year. $25 would be $181.
These prices really do date the strip. I have friends that pay to have their doggie groomed. At $60 for their little Pekingese, they consider that price both necessary and low.
Since this is only a comic, I am thinking fantasy. But if this was a human kid with a dad who offered private school, I think the kid would give him the name of the most expensive school to “dad” to take advantage of the offer.

Fun fact: Peppermint Patty was originally going to have her own strip, but Sparky scrapped it and brought her into this preexisting one.

If she does go through with it, she needs to BYOK (Bring Your Own Kibble)!

Considering Snoopy gives Charlie so much grief, I wouldn’t take an obedience school recommendation from him.

Nowadays some private schools cost more than college.

$25 would be an overprice for today’s Government schools. So go to ACE. I’m sure you’ll learn more.

Might as well take snoopy’s offer since all schools nowadays want you to obey
