From yesterday’s comments – Kelliekatlady said, “I love that National Lazy Day falls on my birthday!!”
First, Happy Birthday a day late!
Second, oh boy did I blow it yesterday! It was National Lazy Day and I did so much work in my yard! It definitely was NOT a Lazy Day for me! My lilac bushes have been overgrown for years and years, with lots and lots of dead stuff in them. So, I was cutting out the dead stuff and the vines that grow all over them and the “weed trees” that are growing all over among them and I created a pretty big brush pile from all of that. I wish I could post a picture, but that seems a risky thing to do anymore. I worked for about 2 hours on it and I still have a little more to do. I spent at least an hour one other day doing it, too. I should have taken before and after pictures, but I never think of taking “before” pictures until after I do something. Our village crews pick up brush left at the curb on the first and third Monday of the month, all spring and summer long (and even into fall), so that’s why I was doing all this work. I could not really do it over the weekend because I have to work all weekend. But 3 more days of work and I’ll be on a 2-week paid vacation!!!! Vacation starts on August 14th.
A friend in SD met 2 young women who have a consignment shop up in Julian. Julian is a little town up on the mountain that has stayed pretty small. It’s where we all go for apple pie, cider, picking, etc.
She told them about my quilts and long story short, Alexis took the seven I sent to her up there this morning. I got a text saying one sold within the hour, and they want more. She told Alexis to have me send 4 more and which ones. I’ll mail them onMonday.
Looks like “forever” didn’t last very long. If that kitty is smart, she will have nothing to do with those guys. (Sorry if that sounds mean.) On another note, saw a dragonfly, two squirrels, and a robin while out walking today.

We had lovely rain and Boomers this morning, then I sent it over to Queen. Took about 2 hours to get there. See how generous I am? LOL
