Chris Christie noted that Jack Smith indicted tRump only, and nobody else. Fani Willis included everyone in one big RICO indictment. He’s opposed to that. Does he mean that Willis should indict everyone else and not tRump, or that she should just let Smith carry the whole thing?
There is also some suggestion that the Georgia case should be converted to a federal case. Is this to make it vulnerable to a presidential pardon?
There is no reasonable doubt about Mr. Trump’s guilt. The man admits it all, publicly, in all caps.
The hard part — duh — is prosecuting political leaders in America. We suck at that, bigly.
Apparently unbeknownst to textbook authors, the U.S. has a long & sordid history of political repression, with those in power prosecuting and/or jailing those who oppose them.
Pointing out that the cases against Mr. Trump may be politically motivated is a moot point. It doesn’t matter to some 100 million of us — he’s guilty as hell, and we gonna see to it that he gets beaten.
Trump will not suffer even ONE conviction. If any of these indictments ever get to trial before a jury, there will be at least ONE of his “peers” who would hold out NOT GUILTY, causing a mistrial, from which he will emerge stronger than ever. (Only in America)
Obviously American justice is rigged so anyone with money can get off. A unanimous 12 count will be impossible as someone always has an agenda one way or another. If you’re poor and black ignore the above.
All of this would be so much easier if repubs would follow Chris Christie’s and Asa Hutchinson’s lead – call trump out for what he really is. Well, actually, they haven’t gone far enough in denouncing him, but it’s a crack in the dam.
@moosemin- I do agree BUT, I don’t think you would want to live anywhere else. Especially in some of these backwards, third world countries like Turkey! And if you ever saw the movie “Midnight Express”, then you’ll know what I’m talking about. Our judicial system is a complete joke and a farce compared to most other countries! Look at what happened with Brittany Griner! She found quick, fast and in a hurry how different it is not being in America! But if you’re traveling abroad, it’s best to read and learn about the customs of those countries before going to them. Because even though countries may let us visit them, their laws and ways of life are totally different. AND many countries do NOT like Americans!
Mark Meadows already is trying to get the trial to a FEDERAL court and hoping a rump appointed judge takes the case! CANNON is bad enough to have that other case! UGH!
Gawd I hope yur wrong, but maybe so. America is going down no matter what. Whether the fascists will turn it into a bankrupt 3rd world apartheid racist military state full of resistance and violence, or they will quickly burn out and we will level out to a European style hybrid capitalist state with socialist regulations. No more giant pickups and excessive toys or even a car for most working class.

That’s the problem. The maggots will lie to get on the jury.

Actually a set of twelve out of fortyeight….one conviction and Drumpf’s in for life.

Don’t need even that, need one person to say no, stop this, you need 12 to convict.

“I just need twelve votes to end democracy.” That’s what would truly happen.
