As the local Tai Qwan Do student, Hammie knows that the best fights are the ones you don;t have.

And the fights will get bloodier as time goes by.

My uncle was a short intellectual. My mom was tall and athletic. She used to say she had to go and beat up on the boys that picked on him.

I read of a real incidence of this. It seems schools talk a good show, but are on the side of the bullies in many cases. Kids actually suicide and the school will blame the parents. Some parents enroll their kids into martial arts classes which is a good solution it seems.

Yes, and I’m not afraid or ashamed to use her! “Nobody picks on my kid brother — except me.”

Being bullied shouldn’t faze Hammie, he lives with … her..

It’s not that Hammy can’t fight, it’s that she’s bigger and she fights dirtier, so he’s learned to stay out of her way. It’s just safer that way.

Hammie is still taking judo (or karate) classes, right? If so, he chose not to fight.

Okay that was.. comedy gold. And a nice flip on that old stereotype. NOrmally we’d get the stupid “I’m mad a woman stood up for me” stuff in a lot of media, and “you need to fight your own battles”. Here Hammy accepts sometimes someone stronger and meaner than you is going to pick on you. .. and i’ts okay to let your sister punch them in the nose till they go away.
