World Mosquito Day. Now why on Earth would someone come up with this one? I’ve been lucky, though. This is the second summer in a row where I have seen almost no mosquitoes at all. In the past 2 months, I don’t think I’ve seen more than 8 or 9 mosquitoes.
I had a very good birthday party yesterday with my family minus one. I would like to be minus that one on Christmas too, but there are family members who seem to think that he should be included because he’s family. This was my private party, so I got to choose who could and could not come. It was wonderful not having him there!
I’m sitting here waiting for the Hurticane. Last I heard it changed course and is headed my way. We had a little rain today and it was really dark and overcast. I’ve got the patio furniture up next to the house just in case the wind gets strong. I ran to the Grocery this morning and was surprised to see it so crowded at 8 AM. Everyone had the same idea, lots of bottled water was in people’s carts. Fingers crossed there won’t be much damage.
Yes, same in Central Cal! Folks have been watching too much TV from Florida. Storm was mild here, some nice rain and a bit of wind, but mostly refreshing. Herd mentality in action!
At least Oliver doesn’t give her any trouble. (Aside from letting those rotten mice take advantage of his kindness.) On another note, saw four chickadees, a rabbit, a woodpecker, and two robins while out walking today.
Reminded of the Chugwater Philharmonic String Quartet Plus One, which consisted of a guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass. The Plus One was because it was a double bass.

If someone asks you how many cats you take care of and you have to think about how many you maybe a crazy cat person.

Just twice? And, if you put Jack with him, you’ve got trouble in River City.

Some cats are larger than life, even by cat standards.

Here’s a message from @Gammaguy, who’d successfully posted a link on Bound & Gagged:
“How did you get a full URL to post?”
Capitalized the “C” in “com”. The internet doesn’t care, but GoComics programmers apparently overlooked that detail. Also capitalize the Www!
You didn’t hear it from me!!
