(Someone has been sleeping on a chair poolside for many hours. It’s routine to wake a customer if they’re getting too badly burned.)

Me: “Excuse me, miss? You must wake up. You are getting badly sunburned.”

Customer: sleepily “Where am I? Is this Hogwarts?”

Me: “No, ma’am.”

Customer: “Narnia?”

Me: “Nope.”

Customer: “Camp Half-Blood?”

Me: “Not even close.”

Customer: pauses “Well, s***, then.”

Must of sat down on the stool!!!

I thought it was the early reappearance of pumpkin spice.

And here it is.

I thought the strip had a little burned smell when I read it.

“Wowee, Herman! Now that’s a Heat Dome…”

Yep … Herman’s annual hideous sunburn must be here …

I just red (sic) it …!

Herman’s a sight for sore eyes…eww

It only took me one hideous sunburn to avoid them again at all costs

And once again Herman has not learned to put on sunscreen.
