“Cletes on fuzzy slippers” would work like a pig on stilts. Digging out an old bazooka grandpa brought back from WW II would be just as likely.

Oh for Pete’s sake. Wearing cleats on asphalt doesn’t make sense. Criteria for this comic strip met once more.

Seems to me they should be spikes… for multiple uses.

Nothing like thinking ahead and being prepared!!!!

The entire basis of this running gag is that it is the child who chases the bus.

Not the guardian. The child.

Grandma, I think that some other “gear” might work better than those track slippers. Think more along the line of the “showing him some leg” idea.

Granny needs some serious mold remediation. Oh, and those walls don’t look too good either.

Personally I hate all comics. Its all I can do to get through the ones I follow daily on Go Comics, Arca Max Comics, and Washington Post Comics. We all should be stimulating our minds with real literature like Shakespeare’s Sonnets and James Joyce novel Ulysses. See Crankshaft of September 4, 2023. wink wink

At least the characters age in this strip. All except Crankshaft. he doesn’t seem to change much, if any.
