She dressed her grandkid like a bush. I swerved when I realized it was a kid and ran over her mailbox and her foot.

You’d think she would wear steel-tip shoes.

As Forest would say…. ’Canny is as canny does". Ed will just have to get Crankier.

It’s all fun and games until she trips and really hurts herself.

Obviously he hasn’t succumb to the charm and pleasure of meeting the grandma and grandaughter. “You’re a mean one Mr. Crank, you’re a heel …”

So, it’s set up like his typical malapropism but then uses an appropriate (but uncommon) word. Kind of a clever Crankshaft bait and switch.

Just sitting around reliving past moments of misery caused. That’s funny. Mr. Crankshaft is such a warm, lovable and endearing comic strip character.

(caps lock) The Grandmother is not chasing the bus. The Grandmother never has ran after the bus. The child is implied as the person who is chasing the bus, even though the current strips show neither person physically chasing the bus. (/caps lock)

Why is this strip gaslighting us – again – about what has just happened as well as what happened years ago, even though the current strips tell us we’re expected to remember what happened years ago. Why. Why why why.

Even though this is a comic strip, how old is Ed supposed to be? I know some us wonder that about Abe Simpson and Monty Burns.

“Cannier” is a weird word to use here… “More savvy” or “more cunning” would be much better though.
