It does. Lucky for us in Canada, Thanksgiving happens in early October so it doesn’t get ignored between Halloween and Christmas.

We hang our lights now, but don’t light them till after Thanksgiving. Beats trying to do it in single digit temps or snow. Personally, I get a kick out of any decorations at any time. If it brings joy to the people in that house, then I am happy for them. No skin off my nose.

Last week I saw a house in my area with Christmas stuff on their front door already.

Coming home from my son’s birthday party, I passed a house with the front yard filled with Halloween decorations. I had to stop and take pictures.

Holiday creep is getting worse. When fir tree sales begin on July 3rd, I quit.

Some of the houses around here that love decorating are already in full Halloween mode.

My local media is one season ahead if Christmas. They’re already running commercials imploring people to spend next year’s tax refunds on their products.
