Every generation Blames the one before And all of their frustrations Come beating on your door I know that I’m a prisoner To all my father held so dear I know that I’m a hostage To all his hopes and fears I just wish I could have told him in the living years
Each generation does have its own unique issues. Though being on fire all the time does pose some additional problems that previous generations haven’t had……
We used to have dial phones with curly cords, party lines, and operator assisted long distance service. Later, in 1970 I worked as a “directory assistance operator” for Los Angeles County, surrounded by paper ’telephone books’ to flip through while answering calls from the entire country. Hearing people try to pronounce California city names was fun. My favorite is Atascadero; ‘ata-scata-roo’.

Bah. I yearn for the days of yore when men were men and sheep were scared. Or something like that.

It’s too late to worry about climate change. Now we have to worry about climate breakdown.

Reminds me of The Fireman by Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son. Happy 76th birthday today, Stephen King!).

And kids being born now may well be the last generation. But hey – we can’t do anything about it; that would harm the 1%’s bottom line!

But if there is still ice in the Arctic or the Antarctic how can there possibly be such a thing as “global warming”.
