The peanut butter conspiracy… Jimmy had a way with words.

Back in the day I had a double cassette recorder and I would make an extra copy of my cassettes to have music to play in the car.

But will he ever hear them again? Does he still have a cassette player?

Well it was a two-man operation

I’d like to think that Heaven is Jimmy’s “One Particular Harbor”.

They didn’t steal it, one person BOUGHT it and copied it for a friend. Little different than using a VHS recorder/player to record a TV show to watch later, or using a reel-to-reel or cassette recorder to save a song playing on the radio.

My brother taped me U2’s “Rattle and Hum.” First U2 album I heard. After that, I bought The Joshua Tree, The Unforgettable Fire, War, October, Achtung Baby, AND Rattle and Hum on vinyl. I don’t think us “stealing” the 1st one cost them any money.

I’m slowly working through my boxes of cassettes, playing them 30 minutes at a time while on my treadmill. So many good 70’s tunes, they still sound good 50 years later. And the tapes have survived in remarkedly good shape too!

I was wondering when we would get a Jimmy Buffett tribute on Arlo and Janis.

JB says he eventually paid back the mini-mart – sorta. Arlo, just go buy either his last album “Life on the Flip Side”, which I think is one of his best, or his final album just about to be released, “Equal Strain on All Parts”.

Copying a thing isn’t “stealing.” Stealing means the owner has one less of the item left. Copying means there’s one more in the copier’s possession.

I went to the Margaritaville bar in Key West. The restroom was up some stairs. At the landing halfway up there was a sign that said, “Restroom 6 Miles”.

I made up for him. I bought three copies of all of Jimmy’s CDs, one for the car, one for the office and one for home. So that I had it available wherever I was!
