Blame It On Bob Professional Scapegoat bobmillerscapegoat@ Don’t become a shame, I’ll take the blame! No blame too big or too small! Car didn’t start? Blame It On Bob! Not enough money for rent? Blame It On Bob! Didn’t get your homework done? Blame It On Bob! Got passed over for promotion? Blame It On Bob! Call now to schedule your blame!
There are some jobs you can’t pay me enough to do. Telemarketer is one of them. I think that there are very few people still employed in this profession since AI has taken over. The only time you get to talk to liveware is when the bot tells you, “Let me connect you to the next available agent.”
I have an issue with the bot referring to itself as “me” which is a personal pronoun. We need a new pronoun for non-sentient beings that can also be applied to selected politicians of your choice.
I have different ring tones for different people: my wife has her own, people I know personally have another, people I do business with like doctors have another and work, before I retired, had yet another. If I hear the default ring tone, I let it go to voicemail.
I wish I could do with the phone what I do with my email: if you are on my contact list, you don’t go to junk mail. I’d like to assign a ringtone “globally” rather than one at a time.
