Is Andy from Alaska or something. She’s in short sleeves while everyone else is bundled up and shivering. Not unlike when I moved to the PNW after living in Puerto Rico for 3 years. My turn came in the summer when I was fully dressed and people were breaking into a sweat looking at me. “What? It’s only 88?”
I used to set the thermometer to 66F at night but my bedroom was getting down to 62 and even under covers too cold and I’m not getting younger. Went to 68F this year and much better. 70F during the day.
I’m guessing Andy is one of THOSE mothers who uses holistic remedies or prays away the illness, but also never sends her kids to the doctor for any reason.
What’s wrong with the thermostat set at 60? It saves on heating costs and people get to wear sweaters during the day. It also makes sleeping at night more comfortable.
When I came down with the mumps as a child, I “fondly” remember drinking some Campbells tomato soup while in bed sitting up. After finishing the soup, I effortlessly “threw it up” back in the bowl making it appear that I hadn’t touched it. To this day, I find it very amusing.
A little overdramatic, Paige? Even if 60 is a little too low for some people taste , it certainly doesn’t need the ice-blizzard garb you pretend to be shivering in. Andy light sweater looks much more suited. I bet 60 is the temp you’ll bother her to set the air conditioner to this summer, while lying in your swimsuit.

She’s drugging her child for no reason? Sounds dangerously close to Munchausen by Proxy.

Wait until she sets the thermostat to compensate for hot flashes.

Dang. I like the cold, but even I can’t tolerate lower than 65 at night and 68 during the day in the coldest weather months.

When you can blow fog in the house, its a good sign it’s too cold

this comic made me lose a lot of sympathy for her, keeping the house cold when you have a sick child is something that would get CPS called on you

My parents did not like us turning up the thermostat too high. But they were never like Andy.
