Republicans want a government shutdown that is permanent.

    Because fiscal responsibility. And patriotism.

Save energy. Turn off the lights when leaving the room. Save money when the government shuts down. It won’t be missed.

Government shutdowns tend to cost money rather than save any, according to all the evidence (evidence: a word not in the vocabulary of the GQP imbeciles). That doesn’t include the cost to the economy. Of course, none of this matters to the GQP. They’ll keep trying to destroy our government, even if it kills the value of the dollar as a world currency. And when that happens, they’ll try to steal even more money to make up the difference.

The Biden Administration has been doing too well and working for too many people. They need to sabotage it and try to make Democrats look bad. They want to place blame for their irresponsibility and malfeasance on Democrats in an effort to get people to vote for them. Everyone needs to vote blue instead of falling for their lies.

Here’s what republicans want to avoid a shut down. Such “extreme policies”. Yeah, right.Extends shutdown deadline by a month. Spending cuts. The bill would trim discretionary spending by roughly 8 percent while shielding funds for Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs and disaster relief. Border policy. The stopgap funding bill is most of H.R. 2, Republican’s signature border bill, also dubbed the “Secure the Border Act of 2023.”

And these chowderheads want to do this close to some elections THIS November, and at the real beginning of the MAJOR elections in 2024??? Someone needs to remind them that the American Public WILL remember WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE if there is a shutdown, damaging the economy, and forcing some people into rather desperate financial straits…and it WASN’T THE DEMOCRATS!!!

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face…

It seems as though a nerve has been struck here. It’s probably a result of Government ignoring the American taxpayers when they say “Enough!”. Next time, listen a little more carefully.

Clay didn’t have room to show that the switch has been superglued down… and that the wall switch, not connected yo antrhing, is laden down with cobwebs… and that the wall is a facade — a dummy wall on a reality-TV set called “The Reptilican Braindead Hour”.

Kevin McCarthy’s alliance with Marjorie Taylor Greene ‘wobbly’ as she obeys Trump’s calls for chaos

The unlikely alliance between House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) may be on thin ice as she is defying his calls to fund the federal government and prevent a shutdown.Semafor reports that even though Greene has stuck closely by McCarthy throughout his speakership, that partnership now looks “wobbly” as she and other Republican hardliners put the party on the path of shutting down the government next week.

Kevin’s House of Southern Insurrectionists want to shut down the USA so traitor Trump can’t be tried for his crimes.

there should be a law put into place that if a shutdown occurs because Congress can’t get their act together, their paychecks should be used to pay for the people out of work in the other jobs. The Congress People don’t need to be paid, they are pulling this $#!t, they should be the ones suffering.

Trump roasted on CNN for broken promise to save Ohio factory: ‘It shut down three months later!’

Former President Donald Trump was soundly blasted on CNN Tuesday morning over his failed promise to save a factory in a struggling Ohio town in 2017, which shortly thereafter closed, leaving 4,500 people without a job. This came as part of a broader discussion about workers as the United Auto Workers strike continues to drag on. President Joe Biden is set to come to the picket line to stand in solidarity with the workers, while Trump — who has repeatedly denigrated the union’s demands and claimed they’ll all be put out of work by electric cars — is scheduled to give an address to a nonunion auto parts manufacturer in Macomb County, Michigan.

Congress should have to forfeit THEIR pay as long as the shutdown continues. They should also have to pay a fine for each day they hold our government hostage.

Any person who still votes republican is either very wealthy, or a fool. It has been calculated that the tax cuts during the 8 Bush/Cheney years and trump’s follow-up cuts, which disproportionately favored the ultra-wealthy, is mostly was has brought us to this debt crisis. It wasn’t so much that Congress & presidents spent so much, as tax revenue fell dramatically. And, it is so obvious that the repubs are using this crisis to further erode social services for the poor and middle class. We are nearing the climax of the 1%‘s counter-attack, led by Ronald reagan, against FDR’s New Deal, HST’s Fair Deal and LBJ’s Civil Rights/Health care initiatives. But, what happened in France 1920-1939, and in Germany 1933-1944,….. well,….It can’t happen HERE!
