Pretty much Resort Weather for us. I’m sure it varies from region to region but it’s been a pretty good summer here. Only used AC for a week or two. Come to think of it, never used the snowblower last winter either.
Autumn—my favourite season also. We are about to enter the uncomfortable, dangerous, injuring, sickening, and expensive fire season in Australia. Come on Autumn.
We just had about a week of warm summer-like weather. We often get one just before the month of Autumn and six months of winter here in Michigan. (Nah, it starts to get pretty nice in April)
Highs about average for next week, lows a bit higher than normal and rainfall forecast about average. But, this will be an El Niño year and it might get wetter than average on the west coast of North America and in turn promote plate growth and fire risk in the summer. As if the fires across the continent last year were not enough.
In Texas it’s known as “window day” (or “window week” depending on where in Texas you live). It happens twice a year between Summer and Winter and it’s when you can open a window without either freezing or burning up.
Wow! This is one A and J comic I can actually relate to. We have a few nice weeks in October and November after the long, sweltering summer. Most of the time I don’t understand or relate to A and J.

“Come o’er the meadows with me, and play’
Put on your dress of red and gold,—
Summer is gone, and the days grow cold."

“Cold, dark winter”? Now, just where do they live again?
dv1093 about 1 year ago
Not at my house. I have two acres of leaves to get rid of – when they come down. Usually around Thanksgiving.

This past week would have been our week, but it rained all week. We needed the rain though, so maybe next week will be nice.

As an Army brat, I remember other Army brats joking about which day of the week on which Summer in Germany fell.

Well, good for you Arlo and Janis! Sadly, it’s still 90° here. :-(
