When putting gas in my ‘88 Volvo sedan, I feel like I’m the guy in the strip. When I have fill the tank on my ‘04 Avalanche I’m like the woman, less the dress and pocket book.
Not so much a joke anymore. Some of the new SUVs coming out are MASSIVE. I saw one the other day that barely fitted in the lane of the road – let alone a parking spot. Getting stupid now.
Mike must be old. Just noticed the gas pumps are the old style with the nozzles in the side and with the metal lever above them to turn the pump on and off.
I lived in Marin County for ten years. It was so ridiculous to see all the individual schoolchildren who were driven to school in massive SUVs while school buses drove by nearly empty.
As always, Mike, you hit the nail on the head with this one! Personally, not a fan of the big gas guzzlers, in the 70’s or now. Don’t know why a single person without kids/gear to haul even needs anything that big. (Smh)

I used to drive a Honda Civic Hatchback. This is what SUVs looked like, from my point of view.

She’d have less trouble climbing up there if she left her purse in the car.

I can’t wait to stand on a pump like that. If I’m ever pumping gas into an SUV, or Steroidal Utility Vehicle.
