Canada is a big place, bigger even than Texas (yes, really ). There are some bad places and some nice places. I do admit there are few beach resorts. :)
There’s also the currency exchange rate. Turn in $100 U.S. dollars at the bank there and you’ll get (on the average) about $130 Canadian back. Problem is, gasoline is sold by the litre, and it works out to about seven bucks a U.S. gallon.
