Oh, Oliver really loved it! The best stories usually put the little ones to sleep, but Oliver lasted a very long time! ❤️
Ollie lasted as well as he did, despite that person kicking the back of your seat on the plane keeps knocking you awake when you are trying to cop a nap. Oliver finally succumbs to mister sand litter kitty. Maybe Annie can reread the last two pages for him tonight when he is fresh.
A weekly paper and it’s only 25 cents? I’ll take a subscription! Where do I sign up? And yes, Chesney deserves the Lifetime Achievement Award for Crankiness!

NATIONAL NAME YOUR CAR DAY. My car is a Chevy Malibu. I didn’t have the cash to pay for it when I got it, so I had to make payments. A 3-year loan and I got it paid up in 25 months instead of the 36 months. My car’s name is Merry, because that’s how I felt about getting her paid off and because my sister, Mary, also drives a Malibu. So I named my car after Mary, but I spelled it differently.
NATIONAL CUSTODIAL WORKER’S RECOGNITION DAY. Custodians are taken too much for granted and never get the credit or appreciation they deserve. three cheers for custodians! Or, make that three MILLION cheers!

Scallops….Yum Yum!! When I was a teenager we had a Honda my dad named Henry (yes my dad liked the actor Henry Fonda ;-) ) Go ahead & groan , everyone :-)
Looks like Chesney’s a shoe -in for a Cranky award. He may have some competition from Pippi from Tavicats, however. (Who’s not only grumpy, but downright psychotic.) On another note, saw four sparrows, two juncos, a robin, and a wren while out walking today.

That award resembles a fire hose nozzle, with a funky widget on top.

Aw, Chez doesn’t want this award. Can hardly wait for the morning light, the Sierra had more snow than expected yesterday.

Another good panel (not a strip, I guess!). “Garfield bows out,” indeed!

Elvis, from BCN, has been nominated for World’s Crabbiest Cat. I think Lily could give him a run for his money.
