When I was teaching college, this one student would fall asleep during my lectures. Every time! At the end of the semester, I asked him how he was going to fall asleep now without the sound of my voice droning on. Maybe I should’ve given him a cassette tape with a recording of one of my Ted (or Dave) talks.
I had to have surgery for a fractured ankle. I told the anesthesiologist I was very nervous, I’d never even had an iv before. He said he’d put in something good to relax me and it must have worked because the next thing I remember was the nurse waking me up because I was sleeping too long after the surgery.
